As we approach this day of generosity, we at Accommodation Concern are reaching out to our community for support. Our charity doesn't sell products or services; we thrive on your donations to continue making a tangible difference in Northamptonshire. Last year, we operated with a budget of £900,000, and we anticipate an increase in our operational costs next year. Your contributions are not only impactful but vital. For every £1 donated, we've been able to bring £3.33 value back into our local economy, a testament to our efficiency and impact. This is the value of food parcels distributed, benefits claims made, debt written off, charity applications and more; beyond numbers, your donations help mend lives, keep people off the streets, and empower individuals towards independence.

Take Mary, for example (not her real name), who, battling mental health issues and financial strain, found herself overwhelmed. We stepped in to help her apply for Universal Credit, secure food parcels, and guide her through the PIP application process, ensuring she had the support needed during a critical time. "Thank you for helping me. I don’t really understand how this all works, so it’s good that I came," she said.

With recent funding, we're now extending our services beyond the major towns of Northamptonshire to the surrounding rural areas. We've launched budgeting workshops across North Northamptonshire to foster long-term financial stability for individuals, with knock-on effects for the future of the community and our County.

Instead of traditional Christmas cards, why not donate to us? Many companies give hundreds of pounds to charities at Christmas.
